Finnish SceneArts expands internationally with projects in Denmark, Germany and Saudi Arabia

The owners of event technology company Scene Arts Oy have founded SceneArts Global Oy to lead the technical production of live events internationally. In August, SceneArts Global delivered a project in Copenhagen, and in June 2027 it will serve as technical production partner for a glass industry conference in Germany. The company is also launching operations in Saudi Arabia. Joining as new shareholders are Lehari Kaustel and Christina Karjalainen of Tallinn-based event agency Meaningful Experience.

From Copenhagen to Darmstadt and Riyadh

In Copenhagen, SceneArts Global was responsible for the technology of a new stage at TechBBQ 2026, a technology and startup event.

In June 2027, the company will lead the technical production of the Glass Performance Days (GPD) conference in Darmstadt. It will be the first time the event is held in Germany. SceneArts Global will be responsible for stage technical management, programme scheduling and presentation content management during the event.

In Riyadh, SceneArts Global has been preparing an event on the circular economy for December. Due to the security situation in the region, the event has been postponed. The company is monitoring the situation and will resume the project as soon as conditions allow.

On the client’s side of the table

SceneArts Global defines what an event needs technically, based on the client’s objectives. It selects and briefs local suppliers and brings its own specialists to lead the production on site. The company’s own equipment is used where geography makes it sensible. Further from Finland, equipment is sourced from local partners who work to the requirements the company defines.

For organisations that hold events regularly in different countries, the company also offers a Brand Experience Partnership. Under this model, SceneArts Global acts as the client’s long-term technical partner. Knowledge gained from recurring events is compiled into a Brand Rider, a standard that records which solutions stay the same from one country to the next and where there is room to adapt.

“Equipment and skilled professionals can be found in almost any country. What is often missing, however, is someone who takes overall responsibility and is already involved when the most important decisions are made. In Finland we are used to long distances and demanding productions, and we bring the same approach to our work abroad,” says Joonatan Niemi, founder and CEO of SceneArts Global.

New shareholders

Lehari Kaustel and Christina Karjalainen lead Tallinn-based event agency Meaningful Experience (formerly Miltton Events). Miltton holds no stake in SceneArts Global. As shareholders, Kaustel and Karjalainen bring experience in international event production and networks, particularly in the Baltics and the Middle East.

Kaustel is CEO of Meaningful Experience. He serves as Secretary General of the Saudi-Estonian Business Council and as one of the co-chairs of the UAE-Estonia Business Council. Under his leadership, Miltton Events produced the UN Environment Assembly UNEA-5.2 in Nairobi in 2022, attended by more than 5,000 delegates from 193 member states.

“Around the world, I have seen that a well-executed event is not enough on its own. People remember how they felt and what they left with. A meaningful experience is created when content and technology are designed together from the very beginning. That is what SceneArts Global strives for,” says Kaustel.

Karjalainen is COO of Meaningful Experience and is responsible for the agency’s international business. She has around 15 years of experience in event production across different countries. Karjalainen also sits on the board of SceneArts Global.

New brand identity

SceneArts Global is also launching a new brand identity and website at sceneartsglobal.com. Scene Arts Oy will continue its operations in Finland as before, and its visual identity and name will later be aligned with SceneArts Global.
